‘APC has no reason not to go to sleep’ – Hon. Wase reacts to Mutfwang’s tribunal victory
A stalwart member of the All Progressives Congress APC, and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase has disclosed the party’s position concerning the victory of governor Caleb Mutfwang at the tribunal.

According to Hon. Wase, APC has no reason not to go to sleep.
Briefing journalists after a high-power delegation from Plateau State led by him met with the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at the Party’s Secretariat on Tuesday in Abuja, the former deputy speaker said applying every word and intent of the electoral act, victory is sure for APC.
When asked what’s the direction of the party’s leaders concerning the Plateau Governorship Election Petition Tribunal’s verdict? Hon. Wase responded:
“From the laws in the constitution, in the electoral act, and the interpretation of the Supreme Court, I don’t believe I have any reason not to go to sleep as a member of APC.
“There have been a kind of mixed rulings; some in our favour and some not in our favour. And the most contentious matter is the issue that’ll have in own position that we have gotten ruling in our favour. That’s to say that there was a ruling that clearly stipulates that Plateau State does not have a structure as a party.
“This is a Supreme Court judgment and I believe this is one of the main thrust of what we are pursuing to make sure that democracy thrives. It’s about the rule of law, which means applying every word and intent of what is in the electoral act, and what’s interpreted by the Supreme Court and what’s in the constitution. I believe very soon by the grace of God we shall have that in our favour”, he stated.
