APC to collaborates with Doctors to advance party agenda

The National Chairman if the ruling All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has expressed his desire to collaborate with workers in the health sector to advance the course of the party.

Speaking with the leaders and members of the Doctors Unite For Tinubu who paid him a visit at the party’s Secretariat on Tuesday in Abuja, Dr. Ganduje said their collaboration with doctors is important to the people of Nigeria.

“There is no doubt we have a quite a number of support groups during the campaign and your support was one of the most important support groups.

“You provided medical and surgical services free of charge to the electorate and that added to our support for our great leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. 

“So, we thank you for your contributions in providing free health services to the public and also in assisting us to win the election.

We acknowledge your intention to continue providing such services in collaboration with the party’s Secretariat, so that you provide services throughout the periods, not necessarily during the elections period. 

“We’ll like to let you know that  Mr. President is so conscious of your profession, that’s why he appointed one of you to be in the ministry of Health. And even the minister of state is a doctor

“There’s no doubt, our collaboration is important to the people of Nigeria”, he stated. 

Speaking earlier, the National Coordinator of Doctors Unite for Tinubu, Doc Enoch Christopher, while referring to Dr. Ganduje as the digital national chairman of Africa’s largest political party, congratulated him on his emergence as the party’s boss.

Dr. Christopher said the group through consultation with patients had mobilized support for APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2023 general elections

“Your Excellency sir, we are members of Doctors Unite for Tinubu, a group of doctors who’re  APC members. And believing the ideology of our great party and trusting in the capacity of our dear president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigerians doctors both at home and in diaspora under this umbrella have been very supportive of the party since 2019, and our dear president during the 2023 elections. 

“We have been involved in free medical and surgical outreach to Nigerians in support of our party. We also embarked on the mobilization of Nigerians in support of our party during our consultation with patients. 

“We are totally committed to the success of our party in achieving the Renewed Hope Agenda of our president for Nigerians now and in the future  

He stated that their visit to the National Chairman is to reaffirm their support and allegiance to his leadership, while expressing their desire to continue their mobilization of support for the party.

Doc Christopher said they intend to continue their free medical outreaches in all states of the Federation, including the distribution of medical equipment and consumables, pregnancy packs to hospitals in the country and indigent pregnant women respectively, as well as embark on nationwide workshop and enlightenment programmes on the effect of drugs and its abuse for the youths.
