APC women leaders pass vote of confidence on Dr Ganduje 

The Forum of All Progressives Congress (APC) state women leaders has passed a vote of confidence on their National chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The 36 States and Federal Territory Capital women Leaders were at the national secretariat on Tuesday to pay a solidarity visit to the National chairman.

 

Speaking on behalf of the Forum, its President, Patricia Yakubu, said the party’s state women leaders are solidly behind Dr Ganduje and the Working Committee (NWC).

“Your Excellency, the Forum of 36 States women Leaders and the FCT are here to thank you for your fatherly role and all inclusive leadership style as the National Chairman of our great party. 

 

“We commend you for your teamwork, ability to unite the party and your wealth of experience in positioning the party into winning ways. 

 

“We, the forum of 36 States women Leaders and the FCT have come to pay you a solidarity visit and unanimously say, we believe in you as the National Chairman of our great party. 

“We unequivocally pass a vote of confidence on you and reiterate the fact that the 36 States women Leaders are solidly behind you and the National Working Committee of Our great party. 

 

“We pray for God’s wisdom, strength and good health to guide you in piloting the affairs of the party. Protect you from all forms of evil and distraction”, Mrs Yakubu who’s the Adamawa state women leader said.

 

Also, the National women leader of the party, Dr Mary Alile, left nothing in showering encumium on the national chairman for his leadership style.

 

“Today marks a momentous occasion as women leaders from across our great nation are gathered here to show solidarity, support and loyalty to the esteemed national chairman of the Progressives 

 

“I will like to take a moment to express our gratitude to the national chairman. Your support and leadership have been instrumental in advancing the cause of women with our party.

 

“As the National women leader, I stand before you with immense pride and joy as we celebrate your remarkable achievements”, she said.

 

Dr Alile, who’s fondly called ‘The Capacity’, stated that Dr Ganduje has been instrumental in ensuring that women leaders in APC are actively involved in the scheme of activities.  

 

She said that he (Dr Ganduje) understands the importance of gender equity and the immense contributions women can make in politics and governance, adding that under his guidance they have witnessed significant increase in the participation of women in party’s affairs and decision making process.

 

In his response, the National chairman recognized the immense contribution of the women fold to the victory of APC in the 2023 general election.

 

“There is no doubt you contributed immensely during the electioneering period that resulted in the huge success of our great party.

 

“As you are aware, our president, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu is gender sensitive. He’s fully aware of the participation of women”, he said.
