APC’s new entrant, Hon Ossai gives reason for dumping PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) new entrant and former House of Representatives member, Hon Ossai Nicholas Ossai, has let political spectators into the reason he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ossai who represented Ndokwa East/Ndokwa West/Ukwuani Constituency of Delta State on the platform of the (PDP), recently parted ways with the party in the state.

Given reason why he dumped PDP, Ossai explained that he joined APC because of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who he takes to be his role model.

Officially unveiling his defection at the APC national secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, the three-time lawmaker stated, “The reason why I had to join APC is that the Grand Master of Politics in Nigeria, my role model, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the President of the country.

“I followed him up during the time of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). I was in the same political party with him in SDP.

“So I’ve come to join my role model, who is the president of the country. I think that is the basis and the foundation of my defection”.

He further said he joined APC to be part of the teamwork of the party that is already shaping Nigeria towards agricultural revolution, adding that he is happy with all the APC governors who have gone into the agricultural sector.

While expressing his happiness for being accepted into the party, Hon. Ossai vowed to work with the leadership of the party at the grassroots and ensure APC takes over Delta State in 2027.

“To start with, APC will take over the State House of Assembly in my local government, which I will produce by his grace.

“APC will take over my Federal Constituency, where I’ve spent 12 years to consolidate the structures of APC in that place.

“So I believe that we are seeing progress and lights in APC in Delta State because strong leaders make strong organizations and make strong societies”, he said.

Spark News Daily recalls that in 2011, Hon. Ossai was first elected as a member representing Ndokwa East/Ndokwa West/Ukwuani Federal Constituency. He was re-elected in 2015, and in 2019, making him a three-time federal lawmaker.
