Mail Sport reports that the Blues suffered a humiliating defeat at the Emirates Stadium, as former player Kai Havertz and Ben White both bagged themselves a brace, after Leandro Trossard had opened up the scoring.
Silva, 39, came off the bench after 78 minutes to provide experience to a youthful Chelsea starting XI.
However, the Blues at that point were already 5-0 down, capping off a difficult few days for the Brazilian who was seen in tears following their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester City.
After the match, his wife, Belle, 37, appeared to take aim at Chelsea’s poor performance.
On X, she simply tweeted three emojis, all of which depicted shocked and embarrassed faces.
While this time she didn’t have any words in her post, she has previously been outspoken on Chelsea’s struggles.
After a 4-2 loss to Wolves in February, she appeared to call for Mauricio Pochettino to be sacked.
She tweeted: ‘It’s time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late.’
Belle later apologised saying: ‘I’m sorry that my personal outburst as a passionate Chelsea fan has caused such an impact.
‘I’m passionate about the team, I thrive on victories and I’m saddened by defeats.’
She also once hit out at Timo Werner when he was a Chelsea player, saying: ‘This is karma guys. Every team I go to there is a striker who keeps missing goals… this Werner, what is his name?’
Silva moved to Stamford Bridge from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020 but this could be his final season playing for Pochettino’s side, having been one of the Blues’ most important players over the past four seasons.
