Arsenal agree four-year contract extension with William Saliba

Arsenal have reached a contract extension agreement with William Saliba, with a deal set to be signed in the coming weeks.

The 22-year-old will put pen to paper on a new deal, taking his stay at the Emirates Stadium up until at least 2027, MailOnline reports.

While a deal has been agreed, negotiations have progressed to the paper work stage, with a deal likely to be signed in the next two to three weeks.

Saliba’s performances in the Premier League in the 2022-23 season earned rave reviews, with the Frenchman impressing in his first season in English football.

As such, Saliba had begun to catch the eye of a number of clubs, both in the Premier League and further afield.

With just a year remaining on his deal at the club, Mikel Arteta’s side faced the prospect of losing such a talented young star for nothing next summer, or selling him in order to make some money back.
