Benin community hails Ministry of Steel Devt Perm Sec, Dr. Isokpunwu
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Steel Development, Dr. Chris Osa Isokpunwu has emphasized the need to revive the steel sector and use it to grow the nation's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as well as revolutionize the country's economy.
Dr. Chris made this emphasis when he played host to the Association of Benin Community, Abuja who were on a courtesy visit to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry’s Headquarters recently, to felicitate with him for his appointment as Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Steel Development by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
A statement signed by Tine-lulu M. A, Head of information and Public Relations to the Ministry on Tuesday 5th Nov. 2024, stated that the Permanent Secretary while expressing appreciation for the visit, says the task of being the Permanent Secretary of a Ministry through which the government want to expand and grow the economy is a daunting task, he noted however, that with the support of the Association and other critical stakeholders in the steel sector, success will be attained”.
Earlier, President of the Association, Barr. Lucky O. Odigie who led the delegation described the Permanent Secretary as an astute achiever who wants the best for everybody.
