Benue trekker for Tinubu mourns child’s death while stranded in Abuja

The coordinator of Benue Youth Volunteers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Comrade Nyor Aper David who trekked from Benue to Abuja in solidarity for Tinubu/Shettima's victory has lost his daughter to the cold hands of death while being stranded in Abuja.

In a chat with newsmen on Thursday in Abuja Comrade David, a promoter of President Tinubu; and also a faithful member of APC in Benue State said he’s going through emotional pain as a result of his daughter’s death.

Recall that a man trekked from Benue State to Abuja on 29th May to 2nd June, 2023 to celebrate the victory of Tinubu/Shettima. He arrived Abuja, at the All Progressives Congress APC National Secretariat, four days after President Tinubu’s inauguration.

Comrade David said he has been left stranded in the streets of Abuja without getting necessary attention from some political bigwigs from his state who were aware of his mission.

“I’m going through taugh time; depression and emotional pain after the news of the death of my four-month-old daughter. To make things worse, I have been left stranded in this city. I don’t know what to do”.

When asked if he had met with the president, the bereaved father said his efforts to see him had been abortive.

“My only request is to take a photo shot with my president, so that when I return to Benue, everyone will see me with my president.

“But there is nobody to take me to him. I have been to the State House, but the security would not let me in. I have even tried to meet with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume who is from my state (Benue), I met with serious resistance.”

While recounting the frustration he has faced trying to meet with President Tinubu, and how it has been hard with him living without accommodation in Abuja for 13 days now, Comrade David pleaded with well meaning Nigerians to take him to the president.

The Benue born fan of president Tinubu who appeared to be very pained over his ordeals said, “The death of my daughter, Mimidoo Rita is giving me emotional breakdown, as people are already mocking me for embarking on this voluntary trekking.

Comrade David, who expressed confidence in Mr president, called on Nigerians to pray and support Tinubu’s administration to build a nation that we’ll all be proud of

In 2015, Mr. Dahiru Buba trekked from Gombe to Abuja to celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory. He received a car and a cash gift from Inuwa Yahaya, governor of Gombe state.

Also in that same year, Buhari met with one Mr. Suleiman Hashimu, who trekked from Lagos to Abuja to celebrate his victory in the polls.
