Davido laments state of Africa’s economy
Afrobeats star, Davido, originally called David Adeleke, has warned African-Americans against relocating to Africa following Donald Trump’s electoral victory in the United States.
Reports surfaced on the internet that some prominent people, especially African-Americans, have been threatening to relocate from the USA after Trump’s reelection as President.
Expressing his view on the issue while on Big Homies House podcast, the singe urged those planning to relocate to Africa to shelve the plan.
Davido pointed out that all isn’t well with Africa currently and that the economies of most countries in the continent are in shambles.
“It’s not cool back home. The economy now is in shambles,” he said.
He clarified that his statement wasn’t to demarket Africa, stressing that he aims to promote the continent through his music.
The singer added that entertainment is what’s giving Africa a smokescreen to make it look good.
