The demolition exercise was led by Shola Jejeloye, the chairman of the Lagos task force.
The agency said the areas where the illegal shanties were built along the Lekki coastal area were mapped out to serve as an alternate route for motorists.
In a statement released on Monday, the agency said the illegal shanties in the area were built under high tension cables.
Speaking on the demolition exercise, Jejeloye said the illegal shanties had become a safe haven for criminals and constituted health risks.
The chairman appealed to residents in the area to report individuals erecting illegal shanties.
