Some Realities About Kingdom Service That Will Shock You – Pst Prevail Inegbenose
Mr Duncan's plight and the end result is a perfect scenario to unleash this shock.

And I pray this will be an eye opener to everyone who stumbles into this message.
Now, here’s what I want you to know about Mr Duncan’s plight.
He was a banker. In 2008, the bank decided to downsize due to the economic recession. But for fear of being affected by the exercise, he decided to seek prayers from his pastor.
“Pray for me pastor, our office is about to retrench staff, and I don’t want to be on the list” he said.
The pastor prayed; he said amen, and walked away. Two weeks later Duncan was handed a lay-off letter.
The next day he went to the pastor‘s office with the letter… dropped it on his table, obviously he was crossed.
“What’s this for?”, the pastor asked. “Read it sir”, Duncan responded.
He opened the letter and read through it. “Congratulations Mr Duncan”, the pastor said. “Get a place in the house of God and begin to serve”.
He stared at the pastor angrily, and according to the pastor, “If not for the respect Duncan had for the anointing on me, he would have slapped me”.
Well, that’s not where it ended, but before I tell you the rest, here are some realitie you need to know about kingdom service:
1. Attending church service is not kingdom service. Listen, it’s mandatory to attend church meetings in your local church, but don’t mistake that for kingdom service.
Kingdom service is the work you render in the house of God. Attending church services only doesn’t make you a kingdom servicer, but what you do to make the work of God a success.
2. The benefits of kingdom service may or may not be immediate, Gen 25:21&26, Heb 10:36. God deals with us differently and individually; our timing differs.
3. Have the right attitude to serving God – knowing that kingdom service is service unto Him, and not unto man. Therefore, never think you’re doing the church and pastor a favour.
4. You cannot serve sinfully and achieve any result with God – sin will dim your service and destroy its profit. Serve passionately and in the fear of God, Heb. 12:28-29.
5. Never be like those who refused to serve because of the negative attitudes of those that are serving. We run our race differently and we’ll be judge differently.
Now, back to Mr Duncan’s plight. Well, he obeyed the pastor’s instructions.
But for two months he was without a job, and he decided to travel to another city.
While he was on his way, a co-passenger requested for his phone to make a call because he was out of airtime. He willingly did.
Something strange happened thereafter! Few months later, Mr Duncan got a call from someone requesting to speak with his co-passenger.
“Pls can I speak with Mr Samuel? I have been calling his line for barely three months now, but is not going through”, the caller said.
“That man was only my co-passenger in a travelling bus, I don’t know him, neither do I know where he lives”, Duncan replied.
As they got talking, he told Duncan that he was looking for a banker to hold their regional office in Nigeria.
“I’m a banker”, Duncan said. “If you’re, then you’re the one we are looking for”.
Mr Duncan got the job as the Regional Director of a foreign financial institution.
I pray for you, your kingdom services shall trigger miracles in your life this season in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
God bless,
Pastor Prevail Inegbenose, House of God Int’l – Rest Tabernacle.
