Nnadozie’s impressive performance at the just concluded 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where she helped the Super Falcons win a record-extending 10th continental title, earned her this nomination.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper has had a stellar year, recently signing with Brighton Women FC in England after a successful stint with Paris FC, where she led the team to their first major title in nearly two decades.
The Super Falcons goal stopper’s exceptional skills and dominance on the field have drawn widespread recognition, including the Best Goalkeeper award at the 2024 WAFCON.
Nnadozie is in elite company with other top goalkeepers nominated for the Yachine Trophy, including Ann-Katrin Berger of Gotham FC, Cata Coll of Barcelona Femeni, Hannah Hampton of Chelsea Women, and Daphne van Domselaar of Arsenal Women.
The winner of the award will be announced on September 22 at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony.
