We recommend a ban on importing goods that Nigerian manufacturers can produce locally. This will not only protect our industries but also create more jobs for our citizens.

“The government should prioritize purchasing locally manufactured goods for public office use. This will stimulate demand, boost local industries, and create a ripple effect in the economy.

He continued: “We call on lawmakers to enact legislation that supports manufacturers. Policies that reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks and offer tax breaks will enable us to employ more workers and contribute to the nation’s economic growth.

“We urge the government to reduce commercial bank interest rates and make the Bank of Industry (BoI) more accessible to industrialists. Affordable financing will enable manufacturers to sustain their businesses, pay workers, and expand their operations.
