
In a congratulatory message, signed by Ibrahim Haruna, Director (Information), on Monday, the Honourable Minister, Mallam Balarabe Abbas Lawal stated, “This outstanding achievement recognizes her dedication, expertise, and contributions to environmental protection and management in Nigeria.”
He commended her commitment to promoting a healthier environment, applauding this remarkable accomplishment, and urged her to leverage this recognition to rededicate herself to the service of the nation.
Lawal further reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring environmental protection and natural resources conservation for sustainable development of the country.
Eighteen awardees from various MDAs received awards at the 2025 Civil Service Rewards and Recognition Night. Engr. Dr. (Mrs) Bahijjatu Hadiza Abubakar won the highest Presidential Distinguished Civil Service Career Award, comprising an SUV, laptop, plaque, certificate, foreign short course, and masterclass opportunity.
Spark News Daily recalled that the Rewards and Recognition Awards Ceremony is part of activities lined-up by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), to mark the Annual Service Week.
Highlights of this Year’s edition includes the International Conference for Civil Service that comprised States Civil Service, Private sector, Non-governmental Organisations,international partners, among others.
