The House of Representatives extends its heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, President of the Nigerian Senate, as he celebrates his 62nd birthday this Monday.
As the third-highest office-holder in the country, Senator Akpabio has consistently exhibited an unwavering commitment to promoting unity, inclusivity, and national development.
Senator Akpabio’s remarkable career in public service has seen him ascend to pivotal roles, including Commissioner, Governor, Minister, Senator, Senate Minority Leader, and now, President of the Senate. His leadership, both within the executive and legislative arms of government, continues to make a profound impact on the nation’s progress.
In a congratulatory message, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON, commended Senator Akpabio as a seasoned politician and experienced lawmaker. Speaker Abbas also praised him as a dependable ally and a productive partner in the leadership of the 10th National Assembly, working together for the common good of the people.
“Since our inauguration in June last year, the collaboration between the House and the Senate has been fruitful for the country. It is my hope that this relationship continues to benefit all Nigerians,” Speaker Abbas said.

He further prayed for God’s continued blessings, good health, wisdom, and strength to enable Senator Akpabio to continue serving the nation with distinction.
The 10th House of Representatives joins in celebrating Senator Akpabio, and wishes him continued success.
