A lesson from this story you’ll never forget

Several years ago, a pastor called for worker's training in his church.

And because the pastor wanted his members to know more about kingdom service, he decided to hire a resource person to teach them for three days.

Unfortunately, the pastor was disappointed. Why? Only a handful of them turned up.

“Why didn’t they come…what could have been the reason?”, he was worried.

To find out why, he asked every member to put in writing the reason they didn’t attend the training.

Truth is, the pastor wanted to know why…so he could find a way out…

Maybe the timing was wrong or something else.

Well,

The pastor received with rude shock a note from one of the absentees saying,

“Pastor, firstly I’m married; secondly, I have 3 kids to take care of, and thirdly, I’m working.”

Then the pastor replied,

“If there’s anyone to serve God – kingdom service, it should be you.”

Listen, kingdom service is mandatory…compulsory and ‘unoptional’ to every believer…

No matter your status in the society, whether poor or rich, working or not, married or not, old or young.

Lots of time I have seen people of old ages jostling to work for God in their local churches.

The simple truth is, Kingdom service is what makes our walking relationship with God genuine.

Therefore, we must live our lives with the sole focus of SERVING God.

I pray for you, God shall surely reward your work in His kingdom in Jesus mighty name.
