A surprise get-together party in honour of the Senator, held at Smokey House Grill in Durumi, Abuja, simply depicts a token of appreciation for a leader who truly has touched the lives of his constituents, as friends and well-wishers gathered in large numbers to celebrate the erudite and outspoken legislator.
The absence of the distinguished Senator at the ceremony did not dampen the mood in any manner as well-wishers were spotted eating, drinking and dancing with excitement.
Speaking at the event, the Acting Chairman, Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hon. Kayode Oladele, explained that Senator Yayi, as he is fondly called is celebrated because of his immense contributions to the development and wellbeing of his constituents and beyond.
According to him, it’s a period to appreciate and give back to the lawmaker in recognition of his good and impactful works.
Hon. Oladele who was the chairman of the occasion said, “this man has transformed our society in terms of human development, in terms of infrastructural activities, facilities and youth development”.
He said the Senator had a few weeks ago put together a committee to execute an empowerment programme which distributed 102 transformers to 435 communities in the State.
“The 102 transformers that have been distributed are not just for his district alone. They are for the entire Ogun State, the three senatorial districts”, he emphasized.
Continuing, he said, “Today, August 10, 2025, marks not merely the passage of another year in the life of Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, but a moment of deep significance for the people of Ogun West, Ogun State, and Nigeria at large.
“The 56th birthday of Senator Adeola is not just a personal milestone; it is a celebration of impactful leadership, transformational representation, and a lifelong commitment to public service and philanthropy.
“Senator Adeola has distinguished himself as a man deeply connected to the grassroots. His tenure has been marked by visible and measurable projects in human capital development, rural infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.
“His philanthropic outreach, spanning scholarships, business grants, medical assistance, and direct support to vulnerable households has touched lives across ethnic, religious, and political divides.
“As he marks this special day, we celebrate not only his achievements but also his vision for a more prosperous Ogun West, a stronger Ogun State, and a united Nigeria”.
In his welcome address, the Chief of Staff to the Senator, Chief Odunaro Stanley Kayode, noted that the Senator’s birthday is being marked in different locations across the globe, saying it’s impossible for him to be in all the locations at the same time.
“If you are on social media, you’ll be seeing all the celebrations going on. So if there are such celebrations, five of them going on around the country, outside the country, it’s so clear that he cannot be here.
“So, on his behalf, I want to say he appreciates everyone, and you can imagine he’s watching us. This event is being streamed live, so he sees everybody here; definitely, he’s here with us”, he said.
Spark News Naija reports that goodwill messages were delivered to appreciate and acknowledge Senator Adeola’s service to the community.
