‘Anybody asking you to bring coconut is a magician not prophet’ – David Ibiyeomie.

The founder/presiding pastor of Salvation Ministries, David Ibiyeomie has lent his voice to the idea of clerics asking Christians faithful seeking prayers to bring what's referred to as "prophetic materials".

According to the popular preacher, any cleric asking believers to bring coconut (prophetic materials) is a magician, and not a prophet.

In a post shared by Heavenly Mandate on Facebook page, 19 October, Pastor Ibiyeomie also said any cleric telling you your problem is not a prophet.

“Somebody telling you your problems is not a prophet. Listen. I don’t know how you’ll understand this today. Anybody telling you your problem is not a prophet.

“A prophet is when you tell him your problem, he speaks God’s counsel and it is turned, and not the one that will ask you to bring a candle, bring incense, bring water, bring coconut. That’s a magician.

“You mistake magicians for prophets. A prophet is the mouthpiece of God who speaks God’s counsels. They speak God’s counsel to cancel evil.

“You don’t need coconut in the New Testament. If you see coconut in the Bible, I will drop my Bible”, he said.
