Addressing the delegation led by Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, the National president of the club, Dr. Ganduje assured the national teams supporters of utmost support and consideration.
“I will ensure that you gets special consideration because APC is a party of the people. The supporters club is for the people and for everybody.
“I have been in this club when I was nothing but now that I am in this important position, I’ll support you because you have made us proud, and APC is proud of you, ” he stated.
Speaking earlier, Dr. Ladipo said the NFSC has been adjudged the best football supporter’s club world-wide.
“The supporters club has been there for 66 years. And we have been supporting the national teams all around the world. We have been adjudged the best in the whole world by FIFA in 1994 and 1996; and by CAF in 2006, 2008, and 2009”.
Dr. Ladipo said he stayed back from the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire to attend to some important assignments which include visiting the APC National Chairman and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We want you to help us inform him (President Tinubu) that we are ready to meet him. I was supposed to be in Côte d’Ivoire for the ongoing African Cup of Nation, but this is important, and that is why I am staying behind. I want to see Mr. President before going to Cote D’lvoire”.
The highpoint of the meeting was the decoration of Dr. Ganduje as the Grand Patron of the Nigeria football supporters club, and the presentation of Cup tagged “APC National Chairman Cup”. The presentation was made by Amb. Moses Ebahor, president Miss Football Nigeria.
