A statement by the party’s spokesperson, Felix Morka, reads in part:
“Your well-deserved victory in the keenly contested election is an attestation that your message of hope and restoration resonated with the good people of Edo State.
“It is also an indication of the implicit confidence in the transformational leadership of the APC-led federal government and its Renewed Hope agenda envisioned to bring our country into true greatness and enduring prosperity.
While applauding the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), APC thanked the Edo electorate for standing firm with the party.
“We are deeply thankful to the Edo electorate for standing firm in support of our great Party, and voting decisively for our Candidate. We are confident that Okpebholo’s leadership will usher in a new era of peace, people-centered development and prosperity for the state”, it added.
