Until his passing, Prof. Sunny Tyoden was a distinguished scholar and Professor of Political Economy, a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, whose towering credentials and legacies as an intellectual powerhouse remain awe-inspiring.
In a statement by Felix Morka Esq, on Monday in Abuja, APC described late Prof. Tyoden as an accomplished public servant who served as Deputy Governor to former Governor Simon Lalong, for two consecutive terms.
“late Prof. Tyoden was a grassroot mobilizer whose philanthropic record was equally exceptional. He will be sorely missed.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his immediate family, friends and associates, and the government and good people of Plateau State during this difficult time.
“May the soul of Prof. Sunny Tyoden find eternal rest. Amen”, APC said.
