Spark News reports that the Standing Committees which include Establishment Committee, Intergovernmental Committee, Finance Committee, Conflict and Resolution Committee and Publicity Committee were scheduled to be inaugurated on Wednesday 6th December, 2023.
Rising from the 138th meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) held today at the party Secretariat in Abuja, the APC, through its National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka, in a press briefing announced that the inauguration has been postponed till further notice .
Barr. Morka also said the Party’s Plan of Activities leading up to the 21st September, 2024 off season Governorship Election in Edo State and 16th November, 2024 Governorship Election in Ondo State will be published shortly.
He announced that the NWC noted the appointments of five (5) State Officers by the respective State Working Committees of the Party.
The appointees are:
1Surv. Peter Akarogbe – Secretary, Delta State
2. Hon. Adeola Jokomba – Secretay, Lagos State
3. Hon. Aminu Musa Bobi – Chairman, Niger State
4. Hon Aliyi Bello – Chairman, Nasarawa State
5. Mr. Yainus Dangusa – Secretary, Nasarawa State.
The NPS however condemned the violent attack on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Kogi State, Dr. Gabriel Longpet.
He called on the law enforcement agencies to expeditiously investigate, arrest and bring perpetrators to justice.
