APC set aside suspension of Augustine Agada, says he remains Benue state chairman
All Progressives Congress (APC), National Working Committee (NWC), has set aside the purported suspension of the Party's Benue State Chairman, Mr. Augustine Agada, saying he remains the party’s choice.
This was contained in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Barr. Felix Morka, on Wednesday 31th January 2024 in Abuja.
Spark News recalls Agada was suspended for alleged anti-party activities during the last general election by the party’s executives in Ehaje Ward 1.
Reacting to the suspension, APC said Augustine Agada remains the bonafide Benue State APC chairman.
“The attention of the National Leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to media reports of the purported suspension of the Party’s Chairman in Benue State, Mr Augustine Agada, by Party executives in his Ehaje Ward 1, Owukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of the state.
“The Party has directed that the said suspension and all related actions in the matter be, and are hereby, set aside pending further review and decision of the Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) on the matter.
“Therefore, Mr Augustine Agada remains a bonafide member, and the Chairman of the Benue State Chapter, of our Party”, the statement reads.
