Breaking: VeryDarkMan refuses to testify before House of Reps over N15m bribery

...Tenders evidence of his allegations

It was almost a rowdy session, on Monday at the National Assembly as social media influencer and socialite, VeryDarkMan, originally called, Martins Vincent Otse, refused to testify before the House of Representatives Joint Committee.

Spark News Daily reports that the House Joint Committee on the Investigation of Disturbing Allegations of Corruption against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Nigerian Corrections Services had invited the above government agencies, including Bobrisky and VeryDarkman.

Appearing before the committee, VeryDarkman declined to testify because Bobrisky was absent at the hearing.

Having taken an oath and stepping into the witness box, VeryDarkman said: “I won’t say anything unless Bobrisky is here, my lawyer will speak. I don’t want to walk out on people who are old to be my father”.

VeryDarkMan immediately stepped out of the witness box.

Obviously infuriated by his actions and comments, the lawmaker demanded that he (VeryDarkMan) return to the witness box, saying it’s an aberration for an individual or institution to come before the Parliament and insist on saying nothing.

As the pressure mounts on VeryDarkMan to return to the witness box, he succumbs after consulting with his lawyer; but then he strikes again, “As I have earlier said my lawyer will be the one to speak.

As the pressure continues, the VeryDarkMan who appeared to be speaking with confidence, said “I will not speak, if I do let me die.

“Bobrisky said something about having a godfather, maybe they asked him not to come. The man from my state (Edo State) said I should be arrested for refusing to speak, I’m not afraid of detention”.

However, after a due intervention from his lawyer, VeryDarkMan spoke and tendered evidence of his allegations
