Charly Boy reacts to Super Eagles AFCON loss, says the best team won
Veteran singer, Charly Boy, originally called Charles Oputa, has reacted to Super Eagles’ 2023 Africa Cup of Nations 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast on Sunday.
According to him, though the Super Eagles tried, but the best team won.
Charly Boy wrote on his X, “The Super Eagles really tried but the best team won”. Oya, make we face the demons facing us.”
The Super Eagles looked good to clinch the trophy after taking the lead in the first half through William Troost-Ekong’s header.
But Ivory Coast levelled after the break through Franck Kessie’s header, and went ahead through Sebastien Haller’s superb flicked to give the host the victory.
