Flanked by the President during the presentation was the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
A statement from the Senator’s Media Aide, Mr Inegbe Godswill, reads:
“Big Congratulations to the Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, on the presentation of the Party’s flag as the Gubernatorial Candidate of APC in the September 2024 Edo State Governorship Election, by His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President, Federal Republic of Nigeria. By faith and diligent work, what God cannot do does not exist”.
Senator Okpebholo emerged the APC candidate for the Edo State governorship election after a keenly contest primaries, defeating his closest rival, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, who is now his running mate.
Just few hours ago, the party leader in the state, Senator Adams Oshiomhole congratulated Senator Okpebholo for emerging the party’s flagbearer for the September 21st governorship election.
