JULY: MONTH OF DIVINE SATISFACTION. DRAWING FROM THE WELL OF DIVINE SATISFACTION, Part 1 – Pst Akoh Ferdinand

John 4:9-20 captures a very important discourse between Jesus and a samaritan woman, that reveals what we have caption to share on the subject of Divine satisfaction. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

John:4:7, Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
John:4:9, Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
John:4:10, The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
John:4:11, the woman said ” thou has nothing to draw with, and the well is deep, from whence hast then hast thou that living water?

Lets stay at the first statement, “thou has nothing to draw with, but remember Jesus spoke of giving her living water possibly drawn from a well though not of her well, for the water that comes from the well she draws from can only satisfy momentarily, but there is well in the spirit that if drawn is able to satisfy forever. Jesus said; the woman has had five husbands and the one she presently lives with is not her husband, this by revelation to mean the samaritan despite 5husbands, she was yet unsatisfied in that area.

So many of us have thought satisfaction is in how much and the earthly accumulated pleasures we have, this i tell you are momentary. the woman has been drawing water from that well for a very longtime and here is Jesus talking about giving her water that will satisfy her forever. She said give me that i may thirst not but forgot to ask what she should use to draw such water. if Jesus had such water able to satisfy, question how did he draw from the well.

1. WITH MEEKNESS. if we must draw from the well of Divine satisfaction, we must be meek. not many prosperous men are satisfied, not many marriages, with children are satisfied, because true satisfaction from the wells of the kingdom is drawn only by men who carry meekness to the well. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.
Psalm:22:26 The question here what makes meekness a requirement to draw from the well of divine satisfaction?

A. A Meek person is a content person, true contentment is a product of meekness. Contentment is living a normal life irrespective of surrounding difficulties. Joseph lived a normal live even in prison, the hatred of his brothers didn’t take away his values, lack in the pit didn’t affect his emotions, slavery didnt take away his bravery, temptation didn’t change his beliefs. he was content not with the situations but he was content because he drew satisfaction through meekness. The apst. paul was satisfied both in lack and in the packs of gifts because he had learn to be content, lets both agree he was a man meek to the core.

B. Meek men are men difficult times have raised, so they understand praise. show me a man meek and i show you a man raise in praise. It is rare to find men who care to praise in captivity, that is why meek men are those who dare. This month Grace to draw from the well of Divine satisfaction shall locate you. God will give thee corn, wine and oil, and you shall be satisfied in the name of Jesus.
