Ogun govt advocates quality training for teachers

The Ogun State Government has said retraining teachers will aid technological development in the nation.

Speaking at the training of 350 teachers from public and private primary schools in Ogun State organised by the Bunmi Adedayo Foundation, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Mrs Naimot Salako, emphasised that retraining of teachers was beneficial to the sector.

“It is important to retrain teachers to keep up with technological advancements that drive all aspects of our lives,” she said.

The programme was a collaboration with the Ogun, Osun, and Delta states, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and the State Universal Basic Education Board. The foundation hopes the programme will enhance the quality of mathematics education in public and private primary schools, ultimately improving the overall quality and standard of education in Nigeria.
