Ogun Police gives Portable 72 hours to report himself or arrested

The Ogun state police command has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to controversial singer, Portable to report himself to the nearest police station or get arrested.

This is coming after the singer went live on Instagram while challenging some Police Officers who had stormed his bar to arrest him following his refusal to honour previous invitations.

In the viral video, Portable claimed that an internet fraudster had brought the police to his bar to arrest him and his staff members “for no reason”.

In a new development, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, has confirmed that the singer has been issued a 72-hour ultimatum to report to the nearest police station or get arrested.

Mr. Oyeyemi also confirmed that Portable’s father had pleaded on his son’s behalf and promised to bring him to the station.

He disclosed that Police made a move to arrest Portable after five invites were sent to him and another through his father, but he failed to honour the invites.

He further said the Zazu crooner was invited following a petition by a young studio owner who claimed that Portable together with his aides, beat him to stupor and locked his studio.

Oyeyemi said, “On receiving the petition, an invitation letter was sent to him five times but he refused to appear at the police station. Again, an invitation letter was sent to him through his father; he still did not come to the station.
