Senator Nwoko stated this today while addressing newsmen in the National Assembly, on Wednesday in Abuja.
The Senator expressed sadness over the killing of a 2year old toddler in Delta state by NDLEA operatives.
He said Nigerians irrespective of their status deserved to live and not to be killed by those who are been paid to protect them and their property.
While expressing his condolence to the family of the victims of the stray bullet, Nwoko assured that the perpetrators of the killing will not go scot free.
Sen. Nwoko therefore called on security agencies to conduct proper background check, and ensure those who are to be recruited pass through mental health test, this he said will put a stop to avoidable killings of innocent people by the armed operatives of the nation’s security agencies.
The Senator Nwoko has earlier today sponsored a motion on the floor of the Senate titled, ”Need to investigate the incessant and nefarious acts of crude oil Thefts in the Niger Delta and it’s Actors”.
